Terms and Conditions

Please read our Terms & Conditions carefully.

We have to change our terms and conditions from time to time, so please do not assume that the same terms will always apply.

Hours of business
The shop's opening hours are currently 11am-2.30pm Monday, 11am-6pm Tuesday to Friday and 11am-5.30pm Saturday. We can also be contacted both within and outside of these times by email contact@chapelstreetwines.co.uk or by phone 07947484186.


Ordering and delivery
To place an order for delivery or collection, email or call. We are happy to give any help or advice you may require. 
Delivery is free to the local area for a minimum order of £30. National deliveries are sent via Parcelforce and are charged at cost.
Wines must always be paid for in full before they are taken off the premises, either for in shop sales or for delivery. All goods are offered subject to stock availability and remain the property of Chapel Street Wines Ltd until paid in full.


Pricing
Prices listed on the website and in the shop are duty paid and inclusive of VAT at 20%
Prices are calculated according to our own % mark up or cash mark up on what we pay for the wines. Any discounts given are entirely at the discretion of Chapel Street Wines. 

Fixed price mixed cases are usually discounted from full price of their contents, so no further discounts can be applied to these cases. 


Although every effort is made to keep the website and product listing up to date, prices, vintages and product availability are all subject to change at any time.  


Vouchers

Vouchers can be purchased from the shop for any amount from £10 upwards. These can only be exchanged for wines from Chapel Street Wines. They can not be exchanged for cash, and no change can be given for a voucher, the full amount must be used when redeeming. Vouchers are valid for 1 year from the date purchased which will always be written on the voucher.

Tastings

It is not essential to pay in advance for a tasting evening booking, although we welcome it...but if customers have booked for a tasting and do not turn up without prior notice, except in a genuine emergency, they will still be liable to pay for the tasting.

Any customer who does let us know with 24 hours notice or more, will not be liable to pay for the tasting. If a customer has already paid for a tasting in advance, and is unable to make it, with at least 24 hours notice, they will be entitled to a refund or to carry the payment forward for a future tasting.

Private tastings are requested to pay a £40 deposit in advance to secure the booking. 


Faults or damages
Please report any faulty wines, breakages on receipt of delivery or non-delivery as soon as possible by phone or email. Faulty wines must be returned for inspection.  If it is faulty then it can be exchanged. 


Challenge 25
We operate the Challenge 25 system, whereby anyone who looks under 25 will be asked to provide ID when purchasing alcohol, and we reserve the right to refuse the sale if appropriate ID is not provided.
By placing an order by phone or email, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We reserve the right not to deliver if we are unsure of this.


Payment
Payment in the shop is by card or by cash. Payment for email or phone orders can either be by card payment over the phone, an online BACS transfer or by an online payment link to make a secure card payment. When taking card payment over the phone, we do not record or keep any customer card details, they are processed immediately via the card terminal. When making a secure online card payment, we do not process this payment directly and have no access to customer card details
We accept Visa, Master card, Apple Pay, Google pay. We do not accept cheques as payment, unless in exceptional circumstances. 


Privacy policy
When ordering by email or phone, because this is not an interactive website, with no requirement to register, and no ecommerce via the website, we do not process personal data ourselves. The only information we receive from Wix.com is numbers of visitors to the website and active leads. Any personal information eg name, email address, phone number is provided directly and voluntarily from the customer.
Personal information given by customers such as email addresses, postal addresses and phone numbers are for our business use only, and only received through direct contact from the customer, and are never shared with third parties without permission.  When sending out newsletter or tasting emails to a group of customers, we always use BCC to protect everyone's privacy.
The shop has 24 hour cctv cameras with remote access, in accordance with Licensing Act 2003, and requirements of the Lancashire Constabulary. Only we have access to this, and it would only be shared with the police on request, in the event of criminal activity on the premises. Footage is automatically recorded and retained for a maximum of 4 weeks only. We are registered with the ICO for data protection.
